Aug 02, 2016 SIMCOM series download tool. (Click Here to Download) A new firmware file to upload to the modem. The big journey download for mac download. Steps: Connect the GSM modem to the computer using the USB to Serial device. Here I use a USB to TTL device (based on CP2102). There is no need to power ON the GSM modem right now. Now open the download tool. You should run the tool as administrator. SIMCom offers SIM800 upgrade Linux source code mtkdownload, as well as the binaries compiled by Ubuntu 11.10 64 - bit system. Customer can run it directly under this system, in other Linux systems, or client MCU system, users need to recompile the source code and run their own code.
Please note this code has been updated and migrated to create the open source PCM Hammer flash tool, and it is now able to read and write PCMs with 4 different interface types.

This is an entirely original code base, including the PCM 'bootloader'.
There will also be a low cost version of the tool that will support writing, but there is no current ETA on it. It is ready when its ready (its in development now).
I hope to have a number of AVT cables available for purchase in the future. For now if you do not have one, keep an eye on the thread.
There will also be support for other cheaper interface cables added (but NOT ELM interfaces. These are not capable). If you do not currently have an AVT you may wish to hold out for one of these (in development).
